Our Horses

As I Am (Willie)

Willie is a 10 year old off the track thoroughbred that has been with Jodi since 2003. At 3 years old Willie helped Jodi to find confidence and develop strength after a severe spinal injury in 2000 due to a car accident. Willie is now teaching students interested in showing and jumping. He has brought riders from walk trot to jumping and to ribbons at the Maine and NH medal finals. Willie is a true friend to all that he meets and will never leave the Gitschier Family.

As If I Care (Nickolaas)

Nick is a 12 year old Dutch Warmblood. Nick competes in New England medal classes, adult state medals, and open jumpers. Nicks striking beauty and engaging presence make him an excellent show mount as well as a well trained school horse.

As You Wish (Bella)

Bella is a 5 year old Thoroughbred Paint cross that Jodi and Ben purchased at the age of 4 months old. Bella has grown and matured under their care and is now being ridden by several of the advanced lesson students and is a barn favorite. It is the norm to hear the student arguing who will lead Bella in at the end of the day, lunge her, or even ride her! Her sweet and spunky nature, striking appearance, and beautiful movement will make her a top competitor this coming show season!

As If (Pekoe)

Pekoe is a 13 year old Baskir Cross large pony that Jodi bought as a green prospect. Pekoe is one of Graceful Image Farm's most adored lesson ponies and as well as showing lead line, walk trot and short stirrup, she will be competing in the ponies this year! Look for the cute little red pony with the twinkle in her eyes!

As In A Dream (Dream)

Dream is a 20 year old registered Appendix Quarter Horse that Ben and Jodi rescued in the winter of 2007. When she first arrived at the farm she was several hundred pounds under weight and we almost lost her. Now, almost a year later she is the fat, happy, and the world's best lesson horse. She even earned a 7th place ribbon at the Deerfield Fair this fall.

As Promised (Daphne)

Daphne is a 13 year old Thoroughbred Appy cross mare that seems to be another barn favorite! She is a sweet, calm, and comfortable mount who enjoys teaching the littlest leadliners on up to our adults! Daphne is also a super jumper that has qualified many riders for equitation finals as well as won many ribbons in the jumpers. UPDATE: Daphne is currently in foal to Four Seasons Farm's TB stallion, Dancing With Bear! She is due in late March! Stay tuned for pictures when the baby comes!

As Decided (Killian)

Killian is a 20 year old Morgan mare that all the kids fight over! She has the most comfortable canter in the barn and loves to trail ride! She only jumps about 12" to 18" but she sure loves to practice her dressage and teach everyone how to ride without stirrups! UPDATE: Killian was diagnosed with cancer in her left eys. We took her to see a specialist named Dr. Nick Casotis at New England Medical. After Chemotherapy, Cryotherepy, surgery, and a little help from stem cells, Killian is in remission! Her eye looks wonderful and she even have her vision!!! Thanks s Dr. Casotis and all the staff of New England Medical!
